Fully and easily configurable to my requirements with clear and concise product description. Good prices and communicative helpful informative staff. All in all a 5 star experience.
Great Customer service. They allowed me to specify exactly which chainset and cassette combination I wanted as well as choose between regular and direct mount brakes, and a choice of two bottom bracket styles. I asked them to send out what they had while waiting for the brakes, which weren't in stock, which enabled my local bike shop could start the fit. This they did and furthermore they sent the brake out when it arrived as next day delivery for me without charge. Only one fly in the ointment (which was just a lack of understanding on my part) is that neither of the Shimano bottom bracket choices offered was any good for my Trek emonda SLR - as it uses its own specific type. Nonetheless, the groupset offered great value for money, especially with the flexibility to choose exactly what you want.
I got my order nice and easy
Delivery within a week and great communication throughout. Groupset fitted without any problems. It does not look like you get a lot for your money but a lot of the stuff is hidden away inside my frame. British weather meant I put it through extreme testing on Saturday and it never missed a change and never mis-shifted once. Best purchase ever and worth every penny. Credit to Vanilla Bikes because they do not charge you more for the 11-30 cassette, unlike other websites. I also opted for the 34-50 chainset at the front and it works very well. Note You will need to update firmware to get the semi-synchronised and synchronised shifting to work via junction box A. It took me some time to realise this. You just download the e-tube project from shimano, plug the charger lead into the junction box A and the other end into the USB port of your computer. The e tube program allowed customisation of the three modes of shifting and also allowed switching modes through junction box A. It did seem to deplete the battery and I thought something had screwed up but I just recharged the battery and all was good. I believe you can update firmware via Bluetooth but will need an extra wireless device to allow this to happen. I would not bother unless you want to hook up to a Garmin. The e-tube project has two versions and you need to download the newer version to allow it to recognise the 9100 groupset. Make sure you have at least Windows 7 installed. Anything older will only allow the old e-tube project to be downloaded and this does not recognise 9100 groupset.
Delivery very slow. Not taken out of box yet. So cant rate groupset so only rated on delivery.
